Team Health Check
Leveraging Strengths Guide
Using Strengths to Improve Team Health
The Team Health Check helps identify what people are experiencing at work and where attention may be needed. What it does not tell you is who may be best placed to help improve a particular area.
This guide adds a strengths-based lens to the Team Health Check. It is designed to help leaders identify team members who may naturally notice a challenge, understand its impact, and contribute to improving it.
This guide does not suggest that certain strengths cause high or low scores. Team Health Check results are influenced by leadership, systems, communication, workload, team dynamics, and many other factors.
Instead, think of these strengths as catalysts. They are often the people who:
Notice issues early
Bring a useful perspective
Help teams understand what is really happening
Contribute practical ideas and solutions
The Team Health Check helps answer: What is happening?
The Strengths Activation Guide helps answer: Who can help us improve it?
Use this guide alongside your Team Health Check results. If your team has completed CliftonStrengths, refer to your Team Strengths Grid to identify who in your team may naturally contribute to improving each area.
