Introduction to the Team Health Check Review

Lesson 1 Introduction to the Team Health Check Review

Why Team Health Matters

The day-to-day experience of work is shaped most by a person’s immediate leader. When teams have clarity, support, trust, and opportunities to grow, performance and sustainability follow. When those conditions are missing, pressure builds and people disengage or leave.

The challenge for many leaders is not intent, but visibility. Without clear signals, it’s hard to know what is helping your team perform well and what is quietly getting in the way.

The Team Health Check exists to solve that problem.

Three Enablers for Leading Healthy Teams

This course sits within a broader system designed to support leaders of people move from Boss to Coach:

  1. THE WHY A Regular Team Health Check An ongoing measure of what matters most, so that your team care about their work

  2. THE HOW Leverage Strengths Discover and leverage your unique talents and those of each team member

  3. THE WHAT The 5 Coaching Conversations Switch from performance management to development with the 5 coaching conversations that drive increased levels of performance and results

This module focuses primarily on the WHY and how to use the Team Health data well.

What the Team Health Check Is

The Team Health Check provides a snapshot of how work is currently experienced across a team.

It takes less than five minutes to complete, but is designed to surface patterns that support deeper leadership reflection and better conversations.

The results are not answers. They are signals that help leaders and teams decide where to focus.

Before You Start

To get the most from this course you need to have completed a Team Health Check with your team (If not, get in touch to arrange one)

Some leaders complete the full course. Others jump straight to the report interpretation section. Both approaches work.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Read and interpret Team Health Check results

  • Identify patterns that deserve attention

  • Facilitate a structured team debrief

  • Select one clear focus area and turn insight into action

The goal is clarity and momentum, not perfect scores.

Why This Matters

Team health doesn’t improve through slogans or one-off initiatives. It improves when leaders create space for honest conversation, listen carefully, and act consistently on what they hear.

Many surveys generate data but little action. This course is designed to help you do something different.

How to Use This Course

Each lesson includes:

  • To have the option to either read the content or Listen to an audio file or both
