Lesson 5 Navigating the Team Health Check Reports

How to Work Through the Reports

Each report answers a different question. The easiest way to interpret the Team Health Check is to work through them in this order.

  1. Confidence Completions / Response Overview.
How confident should I be in this data?

  2. Snapshot Dashboard
What appears to be working well and where might the team be getting stuck?

  3. Direction Team Health Trends
Is the overall experience improving, declining, or holding steady?

  4. Priority Focus First
Where would leadership attention have the greatest impact?

  5. Patterns Patterns in How People Respond
Are experiences consistent or uneven across the team?

  6. Themes Exploring Themes
What broader issues might connect several questions together?

  7. Comparison Team Heat Map
What might we learn from other teams?

You do not need to fully diagnose the data before speaking with your team. Your goal is to build a small, well-reasoned set of assumptions and questions to explore with them. Treat every output as a signal, not a conclusion.

How to Work Through Each Report

For each report, your job is to do two things only:

  1. Understand what the report is designed to tell you

  2. Write one assumption based on the data

Avoid trying to interpret everything at once or solve the results while reviewing the reports.

Once you have worked through all the reports, you will review your assumptions, identify the main themes, and develop one or two questions to ask your team.
