Lesson 12 Using the Team Heat Map Report
This report compares how different teams experience the same set of questions. It helps identify patterns across teams and highlights where experiences differ.
What this report shows
Each row represents a team and each column represents a question.
The colour coding helps you quickly see where scores are relatively stronger or weaker within the group of teams shown.
What to look for
Questions where teams have very different scores
Teams that appear consistently stronger on certain measures
Opportunities to learn from teams where a measure is working well
Activity: Learning from differences between teams
Start with the Leadership Insight Summary. Find the section “Team Heat Map Review”. This highlights where another team may be performing strongly on a particular measure.
Return to the Team Heat Map report. Look at:
Which team has the strongest score on the relevant question
Whether the difference is significant compared to other teams
Capture one working assumption. Complete the sentence: “One possible reason another team scores strongly on this measure could be…” Note in your Leadership Insight Summary under the heading Overall Review.
Seek advice from the team leader you have identified and note in your Leadership Insight Summary the answers to the questions
